POVINA produces and supplies cold-drawn steel wire with wire sizes from 3mm to 12mm. Cold-drawn steel wire is processed from low-carbon hot-rolled steel coils to have the required diameter and tensile strength. The steel wire has a tensile strength of over 550 Mpa and a yield strength of over 485 Mpa, so it has much higher hardness and tensile strength than hot-rolled steel.
1. Production capacity: > 2000 tons/month.
2. Technical parameters:
- The yield strength of the steel wire is: > 485Mpa
- The tensile strength of the steel wire is: > 550Mpa
- Steel wire diameter: from 3mm to 12mm
- Coil specification: each coil weight from 400kg to 500kg or according to customer requirements.
- Surface: smooth or ribbed
- Conforms to domestic and foreign standards: TCVN 6288 – 1997, TCVN 1651 – 1985
- Other parameters according to customer’s specific requirements
3. Application
- Cold drawn steel wire has high strength, so it is used to replace hot rolled steel in many different fields such as:
- Making belts in prestressed structures
- Making floor reinforcement
- Making belts for beams or columns
- Making welded steel mesh
- Used in precast concrete structures such as: centrifugal culverts, electric poles, centrifugal concrete piles
